Backcountry canoe-and-fish expedition on a quiet Cariboo lake — small group, high water-to-table ratio.
Rouse is one of our quieter expeditions. The lake is small enough that we run the whole program from canoes — no powerboats, no motors. The fishing is wild rainbow, the days are unhurried, and the table is wherever we set it up.
Best for groups of 4 – 6 who want a slower pace and a wilder feel.
No motors. Quiet, focused, fly-only.
We move with the group across multiple shore stops.
Most meals are field-cooked. The kitchen is wherever we set up that day.

All activities are optional. Your trip is structured around what your group wants. The guides arrive prepared to run all of it.
Sight-fishing on calm water. Stillwater technique.
Pemberton/Cariboo edge ingredients gathered for the table.
This is an example, not a schedule. Your group dictates the pace, timing, and activity mix. The guides arrive equipped for all of it — you decide what you actually want.
Vehicle to trailhead, short walk to lake, camp setup, evening fish.
Morning and evening on the lake. Mid-day shore lunch.
Pack camp, paddle to the next shore site, set up again.
Morning session, pack out by mid-afternoon.
Rouse is the trip for groups who want it quieter, smaller, and closer to the water.
