The day

Chris Maher leads most of these days. The day moves through the forest at a real pace — identifying, gathering, and learning the rules. We end the day around a fire with a meal built from the morning's haul.

Works in all four growing seasons but the species and the pace shift accordingly.

A guide, not a schedule. Timing flexes to conditions, the group, and what the day actually gives us.

Morning

Forest walk + gather

8:30am start. Three to four hours moving slowly through the forest.

Midday

Field lunch

Fire-cooked lunch built around the morning's gathering.

Afternoon

Second walk or session

Optional second walk or a sit-down beverage pairing class.

Evening

Return

Back in the village by 5 – 6pm.
